Systems up to 800 W inverter output count as very small generating plants (Kleinsterzeugungsanlagen, section 7 ElWOG 2010). No permit is needed, but the grid operator must be told in advance. There is no central register like in Germany.
The inverter should be on the TOR Erzeuger Type A list and certified to OVE R 25. Some grid operators reportedly ask for a fixed connection instead of a Schuko plug; check yours.
